Career prep advice

Hello /r/informationtechnology,

I am currently a data analyst / simple VBA programmer for a small firm. I am also thinking I am interested in pursuing an IT / software developer / cybersecurity related career. I have a bachelor's and will be finishing a professional master's soon in economics.

I would kindly ask for some advice on what kinds of courses/certificates/training or path I would have to take to reach these goals.
