File Sharing from PS4 -> Router -> Laptop
As the way the title is presented, I'm seeking help in establishing a file sharing network from my PlayStation 4 to my Laptop through a router. A bit of history here...
- I bought a router that can transmit 600 Megabytes of data per second to have it as a middle-man, a bridge (rather), for my PlayStation 4 and my Laptop.
- I bought two Ethernet cables to connect both devices to the router: a 5e Cable for my PlayStation 4 to router and a 6e (probably) from router to my Laptop.
Now at this point, I don't know what to do. I don't even know if this method of transferring files from my PlayStation to my Laptop is possible. The reason why I came out of this notion is because I don't have anymore spare external hard drives and should I do, the whole method of manually connecting said external from one device to another is a hassle.
So if this is possible, could anyone lend me a hand? Thank you.
