FTP/SFTP confusion
So I am trying to understand something. I DO understand that FTP/SFTP are ways to transmit files. What I dont understand is does the server that hosts the files have to be FTP/SFTP? For instance I want to host files on OneDrive but OneDrive says it is not SFTP compliant. Is there a good cloud hosting company that would be able to do it?
