Question regarding multiple monitors

Hello,

I have a Asus Rog Strix x470-f motherboard and a RTX 2070 graphics card on my desktop. I normally use my PC, but then often switch to a company provided laptop for work (Elitebook G6).

What is the general recommendation for being able to use 3 monitors and then being able to switch to use 3 monitors + laptop screen on laptop? Does anyone else have a similar setup?
