What is the name and version of (widely used) operating system/interface that employees use to interact using keyboard and screen attached to server ?

I have seen many images of people entering secured server room and unfolding keyboard attached to a small screen(it looks like a laptop where it's screen back is tightly mounted to the server). I am very much interested in it (one of the major reason is that it looks cool). Can someone tell me about the hardware and operating system used ?? I want to learn it.
